Board Meetings
The September meeting will be held on the normally scheduled date, September 8, 2018 at 11 AM.
In October the 2nd Saturday conflicts with Chandler’s Pow Wow festival so the October meeting schedule was revised last year to accommodate Pow Wow. The October meetings will be held on the 3rd Saturday which will be October 20, 2018 at 11 AM.
National Night Out October 2, 2018 6:00-8:00 PM Wildewood Playground and Pool, Wildewood Dr.
Wildewood will be holding its 2nd annual National Night Out on October 2. National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors while bringing back a true sense of community. https://natw.org/about
October 2, 2018 6:00-8:00 PM Wildewood Playground and Pool, Wildewood Dr.
(In case of inclement weather NNO will move to Community Center)
Everyone is welcome, young and old. We’ll be having a cookout and just hanging out having some fun. Bring a pot luck dish if you like, but it’s not required, just please stop by and meet your neighbors. Bring a folding chair if you have one.
Leaf Disposal
To reduce the amount of leaf burning in the community and to help prevent erosion of the area surrounding the community center, the board approved allowing dumping of leaves, pine needles and small sticks only from Wildewood residents only for a trial period this fall.
Community Center Rental
The board has been asked to reconsider the earlier vote to allow property owners in good standing to use the community center at no charge. The board is interested in hearing the input of the property owners on this question as there are valid arguments for allowing community center use at no charge, as well as for having a charge to offset some of the cost of maintaining the community center. Non-members are currently being charged and no change to that policy is being considered. Please contact a board member or attend the September meeting to provide your input.
Communication
The board will be working in the next few months to update the website (www.wildewoodliving.com) and provide information in a timely manner. In addition, we’d like to continue to communicate regularly with property owners via email communications. We will also plan to send communications by postal mail at least twice a year when invoices and ballots are mailed.
