Hello Wildewood and Greetings from the 2021-2022 Board of Directors!
October Board Meeting – Online
The October Board Meeting will be held on Monday October 11, 2021 at 7:00 PM. Due to the increased risk of Covid-19 and the high risk status of board members and property owners, this meeting will be held online. Property owners are welcome and encouraged to attend. You can attend by phone, or from a computer. Please call or text the board at 903-202-0964 or email wildewoodboard@gmail.com for instructions on how to join the meeting.
There are several topics that will be discussed at the meeting including a review of some areas of WOA’s governing documents that need to be updated, pool repairs, and 2021 HOA law updates. Please join us!
Burn Ban is ON
The Henderson County Commissioners Court meets on Tuesdays and on September 21, they enacted a Burn Ban for a period of 15 days. They will meet again on Tuesday October 5, and at that time, they can decide to extend the ban if the drought situation has not improved. Since not many Burn Ban signs were put out this year, another way to easily check is go to the county’s web site, www.henderson-county.com and look at the banner at the top left. It is always there and will say BURN BAN ON or OFF, as the case may be.
Fall Cleanup
Given that we are under a burn ban and there is a lot of dry grass and so forth around that could burn, please ensure you are keeping your lots mowed and clearing your lots of any excess vegetation which can be a serious fire hazard for you and your neighbors. If you have leaves or small limbs from yard clean up, remember that you can drop those off behind the community center for erosion control. No large trees or commercial trimmings. New Sign at Big Eddy & FM 315
For as along as anyone around here can remember, there has been a sign at the corner of 315 and Big Eddy directing people to the three POA’s that can be accessed via Big Eddy; Clearview Point, Point Royal and Wildewood. The sign had lost its reflectivity and begun to delaminate, so our good neighbors to the east of us in Clearview took the old one down and repainted the frame in silver reflective paint. At the September board meeting, WOA agreed to contribute along with Clearview and Point Royal to acquire a new reflective sign from PDQ Signs here in Chandler to be placed in the existing frame. Keep your eyes peeled, it should be in place before long.
